What a week!

This week in the world of technology was a little overwhelming. The class was introduced to a plethora of information and tools. One of the tools introduced was the interactive white board through Activeinspire. I think this may be my favorite tool so far. It has limitless applications in the classroom. It can be used in absolutely any subject at almost any grade level. It is by far the most interactive tool we have come across. I think it is imperative that all teachers in the future be familiar with this tool. There are many great ways to customize lessons with the white board. It can even be used for assessment of students. When implemented in lower grade levels, I think it can be one of the best ways to familiarize students with technology and how to use a computer. We were also introduced to Animoto which is another pretty neat tool. Animoto is a tool used to create video clips. Unfortunately the free access only allows for a thirty second video. I know it doesn't seem like much but you would be surprised with what you can fit in such a short time. It seems to be a reoccurring theme but I continue to be surprised by how much I learn about the web each week.
